What is elder abuse?

Elder abuse typically comes in the form of a financial exploitation of a vulnerable adult. That person is being subject to the whims of somebody else, taking their property without their permission. Some caregiver or family member or neighbor in a a trusted position comes in and takes assets of that person for their own use. They’re basically abusing the trusted position and using the assets of the other person for themselves. Elder exploitation is something that’s very prevalent in our state right now and we should all be aware that it’s something that we could report to the court system and help that person who’s begin exploited, heave their assets returned to them.
