Area service providers, from home health care agencies to assisted living facilities, enlightened residents of PGA National and surrounding areas; Chatsworth residents, family and staff, as well as health care professionals. They assembled to learn about area resources, as well as to relax.
Attendees were treated to neck and shoulder massage by a licensed massage therapist, as well as to an experiential demonstration to alleviate stress. Led by Joe Hamilton, a Stress Reduction Coach and Certified Meditation Instructor, participants reported experiencing enhanced calmness following the exercise.
Participants also enjoyed a scrumptious array of appetizers, sweets and beverages and placed bids in a Silent Auction. Proceeds from the winning bids support The Sea Star Program, developed to address the unique needs of grieving children and teens. Services provided include workshops, counseling, school programs, camps and family events.
