Am I allowed to keep all of my Social Security and pension if I am in a nursing home and Medicaid is paying for my care?

If Medicaid is paying for your care while you’re living in a nursing home, all of your income except a personal allowance income of about $100 is in your pocket. Everything else goes to the nursing home, so your income is then paid over to the nursing home, and your personal allowance of $100 is all you have access to from your income.
