Anné DesoAnné Desormier-Cartwrightrmier-Cartwright

Licensed in Florida since 1985, Anné Desormier-Cartwright began her practice as a real estate, landlord tenant and commercial trial lawyer.  Since 1994, her practice expanded to include guardianship, mental health, probate and trust administration and trusts and estate planning and as well as Special Needs trust, Medicaid and Veterans Benefits Planning.  More recently, she started helping clients with remedies for elder exploitation.  She has been appointed to the Guardianship Education Committee for the Palm Beach County Bar since 1998. She also serves on the Probate and Guardianship Practice Committee of the Florida Bar and is a member of the Real Estate, Probate and Trust Section of the Florida Bar and the American Bar Association as well as the Elder Law Section of the Florida Bar. She is now the managing partner of Elder and Estate Planning Attorneys PA.

She is a Charter member of Elder Counsel, a nation wide association of elder law attorneys focused on the changing laws affecting the elderly.  She also is a member of Wealth Counsel and Advisors Forum which focuses how the laws affect wealth planning and distribution of assets throughout client’s lives and at death.  Mrs. Desormier also enjoys active memberships in NAELA and AFELA, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and Academy of Florida Elder Law Attorneys, respectively.  These organizations lead the way for understanding and preparing legislation to address the complicated issues our elderly population face as they age.

She is a 30 year member of The Greater Palm Beach Chapter of National Association of Women in Construction and has served on the Board of Directors in various capacities.  She continues to be a member helping members in their business succession, estate planning, elder law and real estate needs.

Currently, the office has well experienced staff who work in the areas of estate planning, Medicaid and Veterans Planning and probate, estate and trust administration.

 

Jason C. Maier Esq.

Jason C. Maier resides in West Palm Beach and has practiced law in Florida since May 2000. Mr. Maier is licensed to practice in all Florida State and Federal courts relevant to his practice areas. In addition, he has achieved Florida Bar Board Certification in the area of Construction Law – a distinction presently held by only 291 attorneys in Florida.

Board Certification is the highest level of evaluation by the Florida Bar. As such, Mr. Maier is considered a specialist in the area of construction law. In 2012, Mr. Maier was awarded the “Rising Star” distinction by Super Lawyers – a Thompson Reuters publication known in the legal community.

Over the past thirteen years, Mr. Maier has represented clients in a variety of matters and has experience in the following types of disputes:  construction law (contract drafting and negotiation; bid solicitation and award and protest; lien claims; payment and performance bond claims on public and private projects; representation of design professionals (architects and engineers); construction defect claims; insurance coverage disputes; condominium law; homeowner’s association law; liens for assessments; negligence claims; medical malpractice; personal injury; insurance coverage; fraud claims; contract drafting and interpretation; probate litigation; products liability; premises liability; fire loss; and insurance subrogation claims – to name a few.

During his career, Mr. Maier has worked for an insurance defense law firm, a private boutique firm, and a large local law firm and has represented individuals and corporations in matters both large and small – including several complex multi-million dollar claims.


Richard Bolko, ESQ, CPA, MBA, MACC

Richard has spent his entire career architecting, developing, and deploying innovative solutions that align with business goals and deliver quantifiable financial benefits. His consistent vision has been to build an effective team aligned with the business objectives and leveraging technology as a strategic differentiator to improve financial performance. He has an extensive hands-on experience in growing and transforming departments and organizations with a minimal investment in IT infrastructure and staff. His 15+ years of finance experience include extensive interaction with executive management and boards of directors.

Through various positions, he was instrumental in design, development, and support of finance functions that enabled rapid annual revenue growth via acquisitions and organic expansion without accounting and processing difficulties while maintaining a zero based budget. Besides the development of finance functions, Richard led and participated in numerous ERP system conversion, and sunsetting of legacy system projects. In addition to system conversion and mergers, Richard performed due diligence and participated in negotiations and deal making for fifty plus acquisitions varying in size (from $0.5MM to $400MM) and number of capitalization rounds.

He is fluent in areas of accounting (GAAP & IFRS) and finance related activities for the organization, including inventory accounting, financial reporting (10-K, 10-Q, SEC), budgeting, forecasting, independent audit & tax (SOX, Internal Controls), financial planning & analysis, treasury and cash-management, collaborative governance, and financial risk & compliance management. He is a diversely skilled leader who is a compelling and transparent communicator in English and Polish, who has the ability to establish and maintain respect, credibility, and collaborative trust with a
diversity of staff and other internal and external stakeholders. He crafted finance organization that was extremely customer focused, both for external and internal customers. He used the finance group as one of the primary agents of change, providing new services for customers and improving internal process flow efficiency.

Richard is an outside of the box thinker. Being Six Sigma certified, process improvement and efficiencies are his other very strong attributes. But perhaps first passion is leading people. The number of organizations he has been privileged to work with exposed him to a multitude of personalities and talents. He believes in strong leadership through holding strong to integrity, motivation and proper job placement.
